Food Rules

#27 Eat animals that have themselves eaten well.

In Food Rules, author Michael Pollan wrote 64 simple rules on how to eat. "The diet of the animals we eat strongly influences the nutritional quality, and healthfulness, of the food we get from them, whether it is meat or milk or eggs," Pollan says.

When you are looking at packages of meat to buy from the store, think about where that animal came from. Was it raised naturally, or was it raised on grain, anti-biotics and hormones? The healthier the animal, the healthier it is for you.
