Health benefits of chocolate

Dark chocolate is loaded flavenols and anti-oxidants. These two substances have been found to reduce risk of stroke and cardiovascular disease (British Medical Journal, Dec. 18, 2004)

The key is eating chocolate with high amounts of these two substances and not just milk chocolate (sorry). Chocolate that has 65% cocoa or higher is when the concentration of the flavenols becomes powerful enough to have an impact.

As cocoa content increases so does the bitterness of the chocolate. The more bitter the healthier it is for you! I find that chocolate that's 70-80% cocoa still tastes great!
