Healthy Home: Mop Your Floors Without Chemicals

The use of chemicals in the home is being linked to more health conditions and diseases every year ranging from asthma to skin conditions to cancer. A recent study by the EPA stated that the toxic chemicals in household cleaners are three times more likely to cause cancer than outdoor air.

To create a healthy home, use as many natural cleaning products as possible to reduce the risk of having a chemical related illness.

Recently, Jen and I purchased the Libman Freedom™ Spray Mop in our search to find a mop that was easy to use and chemical-free. No, I'm not a sales rep for Libman, but I love the mop. It has a spray feature and also a container to hold your cleaning solution. Another benefit of this mop is that it is eco-friendly as the pad is washable instead of disposable.

The natural cleaning solution we use is 50% white vinegar and 50% water. It is affordable, green and all-natural.

Safe for your family, especially for kids and pets, create a healthy home by reducing the amount of chemicals you use.

This mop is available on Amazon.com, and also at the Saginaw WalMart, Kroger and Target stores.
